The Fassa Valley takes in seven main villages: from the north to the south they are Canazei, Campitello, Mazzin, Pozza, Vigo, Soraga and Moena, and some smaller villages which belong to the seven municipalities (see main villages).
The population is 9114 (census of population 2001). Most of them are ladin speaking people.
